2019 is the year of organic, smart, and super sensorial textures – think ice cream masks, exfoliating sugar cubes and skincare products so clean and green you’ll want to eat them! We’ve rounded up our favorites for summer.

1. ICE CREAM MASK

Ice cream masks – yes, you heard us right! I Dew Care has launched a range of three ice cream inspired wash-off masks that promise to leave skin dewy and fresh. Cake my Day, Matcha Mood and Berry Groovy are enriched respectively with hyaluronic acid, Vitamin B3 and glycolic acid for hydrating, brightening and soothing results. Ideal after a day under the scorching summer sun.

2. EDIBLE PRODUCTS

The “edible” food trend doesn’t stop at ice cream masks, there’s a world of food-inspired new products to explore. Try Sunday Rain’s Exfoliating Sugar Cubes for a fun alternative to a regular body scrub, swap your regular body cream for & Other Stories’ Fornillo Body Jelly for a lighter summer alternative, and cleanse with The Body Shop’s Carrot Energising Face Cleanser for a boost of energy in the AM.

3. MASKS, MASKS… AND MORE MASKS!

Peel-away masks, sheet masks, overnight masks… the trend shows no signs of stopping. If you’re a fan of sheet masks, you can now try new and improved versions, such as ‘Face In Shot Mask Hydrolift’ by Oozoo, that allows you to inject the sheet mask yourself with just the right amount of active ingredients.
For masks in a jar, take your pick from Fresh Beauty’s acclaimed “Mini Masks” in different formulations for a quick pick me up depending on the desired result.

5. SOAP BARS

Soap Bars are making a big comeback in the beauty world, and it’s no surprise. Aside from being pretty and making your entire bathroom smell good, soap bars are also being favoured over liquid soap because they allow for less consumption of plastic. Coconut oil, honey and shea butter are only a few of the ingredients with moisturizing properties found in modern soaps that will leave your skin feeling nourished.
