The Biggest Accessory Trend for Spring Summer 2020

We saw gold chains start to emerge on the necks, ears and wrists of the fashionable set in the last few months and the trend has taken hold this season as a must wear. These ultra stylish accessories are a versatile option; from delicate gold chain necklaces, to chunky statement pieces. Check out our handy guide on how to wear the latest accessory trend with some of Maison du Maillot’s new season pieces.

Look 1: Pair this 9Seed dress with Mango hoop earrings and chunky necklace (worn as a bracelet) for lunch at a beach side restaurant or a summer barbecue.

Look 2: An evening out on the town deserves a stunning outfit like this one. Slip dresses are a huge nod to the 90’s and teamed with chunky chain accessories (By Alona Earrings and Bottega Veneta heels) help add a masculine edge to an otherwise very feminine look. The knit finishing on the shoes softens the harsh black against the silky blue of the dress.

Look 3: The keyhole cutouts and mirrored accents in this pretty Juliet Dunn dress means that the accessories need to be at a bare minimum to not overwhelm the entire look, which is why I opted for a simple chain earrings (Mango) to tie the entire look together.

Look 4: This casual linen dress from Lanhtropy is elevated by the addition of this chunky statement JW Anderson choker. With the addition of the necklace, this look can definitely be worn now for a dinner out.

Look 5: One of my favourite dresses of the season. The print is classic and the bows on the shoulders are playful and feminine. Strike a balance with the dress by adding this Bottega Veneta bag to add a masculine touch, thanks to the oversize chain strap. Add a final touch to look by adding another gold element, in this case I would suggest adding multi-layered bracelets.

Look 6: For this look we went with a set from London based designer, Paolita, pairing the printed swimsuit with the shirt. To add a more three-dimensional look, add a stack of different textured necklaces. Some options could include Stvdio, Zara and vintage Tiffany & Co to dress up the look.
